why?

why is it like that?

always when am talking to people i dont know and am telling them that i was 1 year in ghana, they ask me how it was.

my first answer (cause its the main thing) is, yes, it was really nice and this and that…

then they are looking weird at me…

how can it be nice if there is so much poverty ?!? is the next question.

i think this is really an unfortunate thing that people dont know much about ghana and africa.

but its not a surprise.

if you hear something about africa on tv, radio or in the newspaper, its always about poverty, hunger, hiv/aids, malaria,…

of course this things are happening in africa. just like they do in europe, america, asia…

they would never show pictures of the lovely, lively people, playing kids, beautiful country..

its really unfortunate. i hope that i can maybe show it to some people that africa is not just what u see in the media.

africa has much more positiv things to offer!!!

you should explore it yourself! :)

am just trying to show you another side of africa.

soon i will upload some pics from ghana!

long long time ago…

… i went to this nice country, called ghana!

i started in july 2008 to kumasi where i worked on voluntary base first in a school and orphanage, later for an organisation.

i stayed there for exactly one year and i made so many good and nice experiences i will never forget.

it has changed my life. i got used to the ghanaian lifestyle. and i felt so comfortable!

now am back since about 2 months. am staying in salzburg, austria, europe.

and am missing ghana too much these days.

am missing everything.

the lovely people, nice food, very good music, pretty clothes and such a beautiful and colorful country.

its not that easy to get used to the european lifestyle again. but i will handle it. cause am looking forward to my next goal:

going back to ghana this year!! :)

it looks good, preparation is working well.

i was talking to a lot of people the last weeks. of course, they want to know everything about ghana and the experiences i´ve made there.

most of the people are really interested in everything, some even want to experience some things by themself one day.

and there are some things ghanaians can be proud of.

for example when am telling europeans that every student who has finished school has to do national service. and in ghana national service means they have to teach in school.

we in europe think its a very good system. here most of the guys have to join the army…

i already wanted to write something here some weeks ago but i never made it. i had so many things on my mind  i wanted to write about.

but of course, now all is gone.

maybe i will continue “soon”.  ;)
